We are members of the Nichiren Order or Nichiren Shu. We follow the teachings of the Eternal Buddha Shakamuni as taught in the Lotus Sutra and of our founder Nichiren Shonin. Our main practice is of chanting the Odaimoku, "Namu Myoho Renge Kyo", the title of the Lotus Sutra. Through our practice we connect to our innate Buddha Nature that all sentient beings possess. This allows us to live happy, full lives and to reach toward the enlightenment of Buddhahood. Please join us and experience the Buddha's teaching and joy.

We, at Om Temple, aim to improve the understanding of the Sanatan Dharma among Hindus and non-Hindus by encouraging a deeper understanding of the core philosophy expounded in our holy books. We encourage critical thinking to help the new generations connect with the ancient wisdom that has stood the test of time. We are focusing on achieving the Dharma ideals of:
- Vasudhev Kutumbkam (the whole earth is one family)
- By working towards universal acceptance of all religious faiths according to the Vedic Philosophy:
- All paths lead to God.
Om Temple's strategy consists of:
- Creating a modern, relevant, easy to use and understand knowledge base of Vedic philosophy, beliefs, culture and practices,
- Encouraging Hindus and others, particularly children, to really explore and understand Vedic philosophy and not just blindly follow rituals, and
- Encouraging Hindu communities to actively participate in social and faith related activities with members and clergy of non-Hindu communities to achieve better understanding of each other's faiths, culminating one day in religious harmony and acceptance.
